This entry-level role involves achieving competencies to deliver specialized cardiovascular and/or radiologic technology services to aid medical staff in diagnosing and treating patient conditions. Essential duties include preparing patients, utilizing specialized equipment for diagnostic/interventional procedures, and ensuring post-procedure documentation and quality control.
Candidates need an Associate’s degree or higher, preferably from a CAAHEP accredited program in cardiovascular or radiologic technology, and must possess current BLS certification. Applicants must also meet eligibility standards for ARDMS, ARRT, or CCI in the required specialty, which must be achieved within 12 months of hire.

Education: Graduate of an accredited imaging/radiology program as defined by ARRT or Completion of JRCERT accredited Military Educational Program is accepted in lieu of other educational requirements.
Demonstrates knowledge and skill in applying principles of radiologic technology, medical imaging, positioning of patients and medical ethics. Demonstrates foundational knowledge of fluoroscopy equipment operation, image optimization, and dose reduction strategies. Applies core knowledge and understanding of anatomy and physiology related radiologic technologies associated with imaging specialty credentialed to perform. Demonstrates ability and skill to apply theory, practices and techniques to perform, post-process, analyze and annotate study data or procedure documentation. Ability to apply knowledge of sterile fields consistently ensuring a safe environment for the patient Strong verbal and written communication skills Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age and patient populations served Demonstrates knowledge of and ability to apply HIPAA guidelines and standards. Ability to prioritize and complete clinical or non-clinical work assignments Ability to multi-task and remain calm in stressful situations Ability to work as part of a diverse team and communicate effectively with others. Displays consistency and dependability by reporting to work as scheduled. Ability to be sensitive to patients’ physical and psychological needs.
