About the role

The Registered Nurse will work with physicians, nurses, and patients to answer questions regarding medications, provide health education, and offer medical advice within their scope of practice. Responsibilities also include managing patient scheduling, retrieving and responding to phone messages based on medical priority, and documenting all patient communications accurately.

  • Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm schedule working in a busy Cardiology practice
  • In person position
  • Enjoy work life balance with consistent day shift schedule and observed holidays off work
  • Respond to patient calls and electronic messages, prioritize concerns based on clinical urgency, provide education within scope of practice, and ensure timely resolution of patient needs
  • Facilitate care coordination by scheduling appropriate appointments, obtaining prior authorizations, processing prescription refills, and supporting continuity of care across the patient journey
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all patient communications, clinical assessments, and care interventions in accordance with departmental and regulatory standards

Qualifications

  • Required Associate's Degree Nursing/Patient Care
  • Preferred Bachelor's Degree Nursing/Patient Care
  • 1 year Nursing/Patient Care in acute care or ambulatory settings Preferred
  • Basic Life Support Program (BLS) - American Heart Association
  • Registered Nurse (RN) - State Licensing Board

Travel is required: Up to 20%

Requirements

Required qualifications include an Associate's Degree in Nursing/Patient Care, with a preference for a Bachelor's Degree. Candidates need at least one year of nursing experience in acute care or ambulatory settings, and preferred certification is Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association.
