Responsible for the day-to-day operation of all Nuclear Medicine activities within the Cardiology Department. This includes confirming orders, documenting medical necessity, and administering radioactive drugs.
Requires a high school diploma, technical school education, and certifications including ARRT (N), NMTCB, and AHA BLS. Candidates must have a WV Medical Imaging license and at least 2 years of position-related experience.
Cabell Huntington Hospital is seeking a full-time Clinic Nuclear Med Tech with our Marshall Health Cardiology Department.
Under the direction of the Nuclear Medicine Supervisor, the incumbent is responsible for the day-to-day operation of all NM activities at MH Cardiology. Confirms orders, documents, medical necessity, and pre-authorization on all NM orders. NM Technologists must meet the minimum federal standards on the administration of radioactive drugs and the operation of radiation detection equipment.
This individual must be mature, responsible, and use initiative for independent judgment when necessary. The incumbent is required to have a high standard of medical ethics and have the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patient, employees, physicians, and the general public.
