About the role

The LPN is responsible for pre-visit planning, rooming patients, and documenting vital signs. They assist medical providers with in-office procedures and manage administrative tasks to ensure efficient patient flow.

This position will work 34 hrs per week LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse)

Job Summary The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is responsible for pre-visit planning, standard rooming responsibilities, assisting with procedures, discharge instructions and carries out both administrative and clinical tasks as directed by a medical provider. This position is instrumental in helping the patient feel at ease while collaborating with the provider throughout the patient's visit.

What you will do

Room patients, perform and document vital signs and patient backgrounds.

Coordinate provider schedules and appointments, enter orders and prepare patient charts.

Instruct patients and families as directed within scope of licensure or certification.

Prepare patients and assist medical providers with in-office procedures and prepare and administer medications/immunizations.

Maintain exams rooms and equipment to be within infection control standards. Ensure appropriate levels of medical supplies for each patient room.

  • Current clinical experience as a licensed practical nurse. Preferred

Knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions to establish a safe work environment.

Requirements

Candidates must hold a valid Practical Nursing license issued by the state of Wisconsin and a CPR/Basic Life Support certification. Current clinical experience as an LPN is required.
