Medication technician

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in assisted living or long-term care settings.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience working with elderly populations.
• Basic First Aid Certification.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications to residents as prescribed by healthcare providers.
• Monitor residents for any side effects or adverse reactions to medications.
• Maintain accurate records of medication administration and resident observations.
• Assist with daily living activities and provide emotional support to residents.
• Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and safety regulations.

Skills

• The required skills for this position, such as assisted living experience and wound care knowledge, will be utilized daily as you interact with residents and provide necessary medical support.
• Your ability to express compassion for residents will enhance their comfort and trust, creating a positive environment.
• Demonstrating integrity in all interactions is essential, as you will be handling sensitive information and medications.
• Physical tasks, including lifting and assisting residents, will require you to be physically capable and reliable, ensuring that you come to work on time and are willing to work overtime when needed.
