About the role

The Physical Therapist evaluates and treats residents while maintaining detailed medical records. They also collaborate with families and physicians and provide training to facility staff.

Description Maine Veterans’ Homes in Scarborough is looking for a skilled and compassionate Physical Therapist. This position offers flexibility, and the opportunity to work with an amazing interdisciplinary team while making a meaningful impact every day.

You will be part of a therapy team that is highly skilled, collaborative, and fully integrated throughout the home. The Physical Therapist evaluates and treats residents, communicates with residents, families, physicians and other health team members, maintains documentation of services in the medical record and conducts in-services and training for facility staff.

Flexible days and hours, occasional weekends and/or holidays may be required.

Requirements

Current Maine Physical Therapist License in good standing. Experience in long-term care environment preferred. Ability to understand and respond to residents’ needs and inquiries in English is required. Ability to effectively understand and communicate verbally and in writing, in English, is required.
