The nurse is responsible for the operation of the ECT room, including supervising staff and performing frequent patient assessments. Key duties include administering prescribed treatments, securing physician orders, and providing patient education.
Candidates must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program and hold a current Florida Nursing License. Experience in a recovery room is preferred along with strong knowledge of nursing principles.
PRN ECT Registered Nurse This position is in charge of and responsible for the operation of the ECT room. Assigns duties to and supervises the performance of other nursing staff. Makes frequent assessments of patients and reports any change in condition to the team leader and/or physician. Secures orders from physician, makes appropriate entries in chart, administers prescribed medications and treatments. Provides nursing care to patients, does patient teaching. Makes out reports and requisitions. Assists in other areas of ECT as needed.
