The Anesthetist coordinates and administers anesthesia services for medical and surgical procedures across preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative phases. They are also responsible for emergent airway management and formulating anesthetic plans under the direction of a staff anesthesiologist.
Candidates must hold a Master's Degree in Nurse Anesthesia and be a certified CRNA with a valid South Carolina RN license. No previous experience is required, though specific educational equivalencies are accepted for those who graduated before December 2003.
