Trainees will undergo a paid CNA certification program through Eastern Mennonite University while working in a home hospice setting. Upon certification, they will provide quality end-of-life care to patients and families within the community.

Hospice Aide (CNA) Trainee Are you looking to join the healthcare field, but aren't quite sure where to start?

Hospice & Community Care has partnered with Eastern Mennonite University (EMU) - Lancaster and is currently offering the opportunity for Paid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Training!

We are looking to invest in an individual who desires to become Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA).

Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) classes are the perfect stepping stone to not only a growing, but fulfilling career!

Hospice & Community Care will not only cover the cost of your Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) classes, but will pay you an hourly wage while you attend.

Even better, once you have earned your CNA certification, you will be guaranteed job placement.

Current Openings: Must commit to a full time (80 hrs. per two week pay period) position in Home Hospice- Lancaster This role is out in the community and not in our inpatient center.

Earn $19.00/hr. during training.

Pay increase following CNA certification Schedule Commitment: Start Date/Orientation with Hospice & Community Care: August 3 – 7, 2026 will be in orientation with Hospice & Community Care, 8am - 5pm Then ongoing - Tuesdays and Thursdays, 8am - 5pm Orientation with Hospice & Community Care: 685 Good Drive, Lancaster PA 17604 Must be willing to travel to other locations (Example: York, Mount Joy, etc.) for orientation with our staff About the training with EMU EMU at Lancaster (Listrak Building 100 W.

Millport Rd.

Lititz, PA 17543) Orientation Date with EMU: July 28, 2026 at 2pm August 10, 2026 – September 16, 2026 Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays Weeks 1 - 3, 7am – 2:30pm Weeks 4 - 6, 6:30am – 2:30pm Click on link for more information about EMU: https://emu.edu/lancaster/nursing/cna Cost: $1,500 including textbooks (Paid by Hospice & Community Care) Students must purchase solid royal blue scrubs for labs and clinicals Cost of CNA exam approx. $135 (NOT paid by Hospice & Community Care)

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years of age High School Diploma or GED required Must be available for dates of all classes/orientations/training Willingness to obtain PA Nurse Aide Certification Valid driver’s license Your own reliable vehicle Willingness to complete a: physical, 2 step TB test, drug test, background checks, flu shot or willingness to go through the exemption process Must remain employed full time with Hospice & Community Care for a period of 12-months after successful completion of paid training program.
