JOB REQUIREMENTS • Licenses

• Active unrestricted VA Medical License
• Board: BC in Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, or Internal Medicine
• DEA: Active DEA with VA address and applicable schedules
• Certifications: ACLS, ATLS, and PALS required if not BC in EM or EM trained
• Certifications: NRP required for non-ABEM providers
• Experience: EM residency graduates within the past 12 months may be considered
• Experience: 3-month proctorship required for new graduates

• Qualifications: Graduate of accredited MD or DO program

• Qualifications: Completion of ACGME/AOA approved residency in EM, FM, or IM

Duties & Responsibilities

• Provide emergency medicine coverage for scheduled 12-hour shifts
• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat emergency department patients
• Collaborate with tele-support team for admissions and floor call
• Supervise nurse practitioners and physician assistants
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in Epic EMR
