Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Certification as a Dental Assistant (CDA) or equivalent credential recognized in the United States.
  • Experience assisting in dental or oral surgical procedures.
  • Knowledge of infection control standards and sterilization techniques
  • Strong communication skills for patient education and team collaboration.
  • Previous experience in a fast-paced dental or surgical practice environment.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare treatment rooms and surgical instruments prior to procedures, ensuring all equipment is sterilized and ready for use
  • Assist dentists and oral surgeons during dental and surgical procedures by passing instruments, suctioning, and managing patient positioning
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including treatment notes and post-operative instructions
  • Adhere to infection control and safety protocols to prevent cross-contamination and ensure a sterile environment
  • Educate patients on pre- and post-operative care instructions to promote optimal recovery and oral health

Requirements

Candidates must have a high school diploma and a recognized Dental Assistant certification (CDA). Previous experience in a fast-paced dental or oral surgical environment is required.
