We are seeking a Registered Nurse to join our community committed to delivering outstanding nursing care to our residents. As a Registered Nurse, you will play an important role in all phases of the nursing service that meets or exceeds Buckner quality, service, and hospitality standards. What you'll do

Ensure that the individual health care plan is followed; administer or supervise treatments prescribed by physicians.

Make meaningful rounds of all residents, utilizing health care plans; make rounds with physicians and accurately and timely records visits on charts.

Administer parenteral, intramuscular and subcutaneous injections; performs in-house testing procedures; takes and records vital signs.

Assist in maintaining current health care plans according to a schedule rotation and documenting acute episodes or significant changes in resident status.

Supervise aides in the performance of their duties by monitoring their work; assign aides to residents, specifying break times and special duties to be completed.

Meet with director as needed and participate in staff meetings to keep staff performing at optimum level.

Personally receive or place all calls to physician and follow through with physician’s orders timely and accurately.

Supervise (or personally handle) the preparation and administration of prescribed medications accurately.

What you’ll bring

High School diploma or GED, and 2 to 3 years of college or vocational school

Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Must hold and maintain current Texas licensure as a Registered Nurse.

Requires ability to understand and carry out moderately complex oral and written instructions.

Requires ability to use up to 100 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently and/or 20 pounds continuously to move objects and/or people.

Requires ability to walk, stand and sit, sometimes for prolonged periods of time; requires bending, stooping, twisting, turning, reaching, lifting, carrying, pulling, pushing, climbing, kneeling, walking, and standing over 75% of shift.
