Provides routine patient care activities including ADLs, vital signs, and specimen collection under RN supervision. Maintains a clean work environment and assists with administrative tasks such as answering telephones and onboarding new co-workers.
Requires a high school diploma and a valid Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) certification in the State of New Hampshire. BLS or ACLS certification is mandatory, and previous hospital experience is preferred.
Overview Licensed Nursing Assistant, LNA Staffing Resource Team – Ambulatory Clinic Monday – Friday, Days $5.00 differential for SRT shifts The Staffing Resource Team (SRT) is comprised of part time or full time staff that float through the Dartmouth Hitchcock ambulatory departments, located at DHMC based on our current staffing needs. They provide critical support to departments with current staffing needs.
Assists with routine patient care activities under the supervision of the Registered Nurse, including, but not be limited to, performing ADL’s, obtaining clinical data, including vital signs, heights and weights, utilizing universal precautions, collecting specimens or performing point of care testing and recording results in medical record, etc. Assists in maintaining a clean and safe work environment by keeping the hallways clear of excess equipment, emptying linen bags when full, etc. Assists visitors and answer telephones. Assists new co-workers in learning the work of the department. Performs other duties as required or assigned.
High school graduate required. Must demonstrate keyboarding skills and be familiar with computer use. Previous hospital experience preferred. Required Licensure/Certifications Licensed Nursing Assistant in the State of NH required. Basic Life Support (BLS) or ACLS Certificate required.
