The Pediatrician will provide comprehensive pediatric primary care services, including evaluations, diagnoses, and treatment planning. They will also coordinate patient care and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
Candidates must have an M.D. or D.O. degree, be board certified or eligible in Pediatrics, and hold an active New Jersey medical license. Strong clinical and communication skills are essential, along with experience in community health preferred.
Saint James Health is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pediatrician to provide comprehensive, high-quality healthcare services to pediatric patients within our community-based healthcare setting. The Pediatrician will deliver preventive, diagnostic, and treatment services while supporting organizational quality initiatives and promoting continuity of care for patients and families. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide comprehensive pediatric primary care services using evidence-based and generally accepted standards of medical practice. Perform complete patient evaluations including medical histories, physical examinations, diagnoses, treatment planning, and follow-up care. Maintain accurate, timely, and complete medical documentation within the electronic medical record (EPIC). Coordinate patient care services, specialty referrals, diagnostic testing, and follow-up treatment plans. Perform newborn examinations and routine pediatric medical procedures as appropriate. Participate in regular on-call coverage as assigned. Promote preventive healthcare and patient education, including immunizations, wellness visits, and disease prevention initiatives. Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, nurses, behavioral health providers, and support staff to ensure coordinated patient care. Provide supervision, consultation, and clinical support to mid-level providers as needed. Participate in quality improvement initiatives, peer reviews, chart audits, and organizational performance improvement activities. Assist in the development and implementation of clinical policies, procedures, and best practices. Attend required staff meetings, trainings, in-services, and organizational activities. Participate in community outreach and health promotion events, including health fairs and educational presentations, as requested by leadership. Support Saint James Health's mission of delivering accessible, high-quality healthcare services to underserved populations. Perform other related duties as assigned by the Chief Medical Officer. Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) from an accredited medical school required. Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatrics required. Active New Jersey medical license required. Active CDS, DEA, and CPR/BLS certifications required. Community health, FQHC, or family practice experience preferred. Strong clinical, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented healthcare environment. Experience utilizing electronic medical records (EPIC preferred).
