The role involves performing phlebotomy and point-of-care testing while managing specimen collection, processing, and tracking. Additionally, the assistant is responsible for maintaining laboratory inventory, ensuring safety compliance, and documenting quality control activities.
Candidates must possess phlebotomy skills, knowledge of laboratory procedures, and the physical ability to stand for long periods. Experience with electronic health records and strong communication skills are preferred.
The Point of Care Medical Laboratory Assistant is responsible for performing phlebotomy as well as point of care testing as part of the daily laboratory operations as assigned by the laboratory manager. These duties include (but are not limited to):
• Any other tasks deemed appropriate and assigned by the laboratory manager
Monday- Friday 8am-5pm Potential Evening and Saturday Hours
