Position Summary

The Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) provides comprehensive, patient-centered mental health care across the lifespan through assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing management of psychiatric disorders. The clinician is responsible for delivering evidence-based psychiatric services, including conducting psychiatric evaluations, developing and implementing individualized treatment plans, prescribing and managing psychotropic medications, providing psychotherapy or brief therapeutic interventions, coordinating care with interdisciplinary team members, and creating a safe and therapeutic environment in alignments with relevant regulatory and accreditation requirements.

Qualifications

• Masters or Doctoral level accredited program qualifying her for licensure in the state of Iowa and for a controlled substance Registration Certificate (DEA)
• Adequate written skills to accurately complete required documentation within the time frames prescribed
• Ability to present and coordinate lectures for clients, staff or community
• CPR training or complete within three months
• Valid driver’s license

Responsibilities

• 1.
• Work hours prescribed and any additional hours deemed necessary for the responsibilities assigned.
• 2.
• Provide psychiatric and health evaluations and follow-ups with appropriate medication treatments prescribed 3.
• Provide CBT treatment for anxiety disorders 4.
• Provide Group psychoeducational programming for clients 5.
• Provide Staff education on appropriate topics, and student education in clinical work 6.
• Provide various administrative and team meetings as is appropriate.
• 7.
• Participate in Performance Improvement activities as assigned.
• 8.
• Participate in Infection Control activities and maintain knowledge of current infection control techniques.
• 9.
• Follow up on previous or new medical conditions that may affect treatment at Rosecrance 10.
• Make appropriate dietary referrals as needed.
• 11.
• Maintain certification in adult and infant/child CPR.
• 12.
• Serve as a member of the assigned Teams and participate in all team meetings and activities.
• 13.
• Understand and comply with all the principles established by the Rosecrance Corporate Compliance Program and Code of Conduct.
• 14.
• Deliver exceptional customer service consistently to every customer.
• 15.
• Serve as a role model for other staff, clients and customers and demonstrate positive guest relations in representing Rosecrance.
• 16.
• Assume other related responsibilities as assigned by management

Schedule

Flexible between

• 4 -10 hour days a week, and have(4 )1 week of on-call rotation approximately every( 5) 5 weeks.
• 5- 8 hour days a week

Work Location: Creston or Sioux City; some hybrid possible

Compensation & Rewards

· Starting salary: $128,752 (based on education, experience, and credentials)
