Perform comprehensive patient assessments at admission, transfer, and discharge, documenting accurately within required timeframes.
Identify and address patient educational needs, integrating teaching into the plan of care.
Safety & Risk Assessment Assess patient safety risks and identify those requiring specific safety devices or interventions.
Evaluate test results promptly, ensuring immediate action on critical findings.
Technical & Procedural Skills Utilize appropriate technical skills and equipment operation consistent with departmental standards.
Collect accurate blood and urine specimens using proper techniques and equipment.
Correctly label, process, and ensure timely delivery of specimens to laboratory services or external agencies.
Documentation & Communication Document assessments and care activities on multidisciplinary forms thoroughly and promptly.
Modify documentation as patient condition or care needs change.
Communicate effectively with the health care team to support coordinated, high‑quality care.
Qualifications
Minimum one year Emergency Department or Critical Care experience preferred. Must complete Point of Care Testing training as part of Department Orientation. EPIC Preferred
