Requires an active PA or NP license in Texas and national certification (NCCPA, AANP, or ANCC). A minimum of 2 years of urgent care experience is preferred along with a DEA license.
Who You Are Alamo City Urgent Care is seeking a dedicated and experienced Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our dynamic clinical team. This role is ideal for a provider who thrives in a fast-paced urgent care environment and is committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care. You will work collaboratively with physicians and support staff while managing a diverse range of acute medical conditions. What You'll Do Key Responsibilities Provide comprehensive patient care in a high-volume urgent care setting Evaluate, diagnose, and treat a wide variety of acute illnesses and injuries Perform procedures within scope of practice and training Collaborate closely with supervising physicians and interdisciplinary team members Actively participate in daily team huddles and support clinical staff with workflow and process improvements Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR) system Utilize and support AI-assisted EMR documentation tools as appropriate What You Bring Qualifications & Requirements Active and unrestricted PA or NP license in the state of Texas Minimum of 2 years of urgent care experience preferred National certification: PA: NCCPA NP: AANP or ANCC DEA license (or ability to obtain within 90 days) DOT certification preferred (or ability to obtain within 90 days) ACLS and PALS certifications preferred but not required Strong clinical judgment with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment Excellent communication and teamwork skills
