About the role

The Medical Assistant provides and coordinates medical care in an outpatient setting, completing patient rooming processes and performing clinical operation duties. They also precept new employees and manage supplies and medications.

Description Compensation

Non-exempt/hourly The standard wage range for this role is $26.47 to $31.11 per hour It may be possible to earn more over time up to $35.75 per hour Currently offering a Sign-On Bonus of $2,000 prorated by Full-time Equivalency (FTE) and subject to 2-year payback clause

Work Schedule

Full time (40 hours per week) Schedules are four 10-hour days or five 8-hour days Workdays are Monday-Friday with occasional Saturdays Day shifts only

Job Summary

The Medical Assistant provides and coordinates medical care in an outpatient setting at either our Bellingham or Ferndale clinic following a patient-centered, primary care model including the following tasks: Completes patient rooming process.

Completes patient testing and procedures following provider orders/standing orders.

Performs desktop management and computer tasks.

Performs immunizations and injections.

Performs general clinical operation duties.

Precepts new employees and coaches MA Apprentices.

Orders supplies, medications, and vaccines.

Requirements

Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant education program Medical Assistant-Certified License from the WA State Department of Health (or be eligible to obtain one) - licensing requirements can be viewed at Apply for a License | Washington State Department of Health

Preferred Qualifications

Two years of Medical Assisting experience Experience in an outpatient clinic serving all ages, including providing immunizations A strong interest in working with a diverse patient population Qualified candidates with applicable experience or similar qualifications are encouraged to apply!
