Join a patient-centered rehabilitation team dedicated to helping individuals regain mobility, restore function, and improve quality of life in a dynamic inpatient clinical setting with a high volume of acute orthopedic post-surgical cases.
As the Physical Therapist, under the general direction of the Physical Medicine Director, you will organize and administer prescribed physical therapy programs in an effort to reduce and/or prevent disability to help patients achieve their maximum functional potential. Responsibilities:
Evaluates and treats patients as prescribed by referring physician.
Records treatment, response, progress and discharge information in patient's chart or enters information into computer.
Educates patient, family and significant others regarding condition, treatment and home program.
Routinely confers with physician and other practitioners in person, by phone, or in writing, regarding progress, regression or change of plan.
Orients, instructs, and directs assistants, aides and students.
Maintains professional growth by attendance of department meetings, inservice and educational conferences. Includes participation in hospital orientation and departmental and community inservice education and programs as directed.
Assists with the planning and implementation of new programs.
