Assist providers in daily clinic operations and patient care within a vascular team. Responsibilities include preparing treatment rooms, measuring vital signs, performing EKGs, and managing patient scheduling and triage.
Candidates must have completed a Medical Assistant program and possess knowledge of medical terminology. Cardiac experience is preferred but not required.
Prepares treatment rooms for examination of patients Interviews patients, measures vital signs such as pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height and records information of patients’ charts. Drapes patients with covering and positions instruments and equipment Assists with wound care Inventories and orders medical supplies and materials Operates electrocardiograph (EKG) and other equipment to administer routine diagnostic test or calls medical facility or department to schedule patients for tests Screens telephone calls for physicians Returns patient phone calls Calls in patient prescriptions Schedule hospital and outpatient surgeries Answers triage calls Travel required Other related duties may be assigned Requirements: Completion of a Medical Assistant program Cardiac Experience preferred but not required Knowledge in medical terminology About Tucson, AZ: Tucson offers stunning desert landscapes, mountain views, and over 300 days of sunshine.
