Description Purpose Primarily responsible for operating and performing imaging procedures using various types of diagnostic equipment, such as CT scanners, MRI machines, ultrasound devices, and X-ray machines, depending on their specific certifications, to generate accurate images for diagnosis by physicians; this includes patient positioning, administering contrast agents when necessary, and adhering to strict safety protocols across different imaging modalities.
Essential Job Functions A radiographic technologist with two certifications, such as in Radiography (R), Computed Tomography (CT), and Mammography (M), would primarily be responsible for performing a variety of diagnostic imaging procedures using X-ray, CT, and mammography equipment, including patient preparation, positioning, image acquisition, quality control, and ensuring radiation safety, while adapting their skills to the specific needs of each modality based on their certifications; this could include advanced imaging techniques for complex anatomical structures or diagnostic needs depending on their expertise.

Special Training N/A Training Preferred N/A Licensure / Registration ARRT State Licensure Experience Minimum of 2-3 years of experience working as a Radiologic Technologist with proficiency in two imaging disciplines. Experience in a healthcare setting, preferably a hospital or imaging center, is preferred. Interpersonal Skills Strong technical and mechanical aptitude for operating complex imaging equipment. Excellent patient care and communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in image capture and documentation.
