The technologist performs CT and X-ray imaging services while ensuring minimal radiation exposure to patients and staff. They collaborate with radiologists and the healthcare team to provide high-quality emergency medical care.
Candidates must be a graduate of an accredited Radiology school and hold a State of Florida Certified Radiologic Technologist license. ARRT(R) and BLS certifications are required, with ARRT(CT) preferred.
Under the direction of the Department Manager and in association with the radiologists, the technologist conducts themselves in a professional manner, responding to patient needs and supporting their colleagues and associates in providing quality patient care. Under the direction of the supervisor, this position must perform all functions related to multiple modalities: including CT or Xray and general Radiology Technologist duties. The CT/Xray Technologist performs services in accordance to an accepted standard of practice and demonstrates expertise in minimizing radiation exposure to the patient, self and other members of the health care team.
Education Post High School Special Training Graduate of an accredited school of Radiology Cross-trained in Cat Scan Licensure/Certification/Registration State of FL Certified Radiologic Technologist General Radiographer qualifications license required (Computer Tomography qualifications preferred) ARRT(R) required ARRT(CT) preferred BLS required Special Skills/Qualifications/Additional Training/Experience Required Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
