Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Expert Level. The resource is known as an expert in this area. The resource can provide guidance, troubleshoot and answer questions related to this are of expertise and the field where the skill is used.
Six (6) months of experience as an Aide Trainee; or one year of paid experience in the care and treatment of geriatric or physically ill patients/residents; and graduation from high school or equivalent. Resources assigned to positions in a Long-Term Care Unit must be registered and certified by the Pennsylvania Department of Health as having met competency requirements for performing nurse aide work. Basic computer skills, including but not limited to Microsoft Office products. Role Description: Performs non-professional nursing work in the care of patients/residents and their quarters in hospitals, infirmaries, long-term care units, or domiciliary care units. Provides non-professional nursing services in direct and daily care, rehabilitation, and maintenance of patients/residents and their quarters. Follows established rules and regulations and specific instructions from registered nurses and/or physicians. Participates in on-the-job, in-service, and formal training to maintain nursing care expertise. Assists and encourages patients/residents to take part in prescribed rehabilitative and recreational activities, both individually and in groups. Works under close supervision of a licensed professional supervisor who reviews work through reports, inspections, and observation. Performs routine duties independently as experience increases
