Assist providers and nursing staff within the clinic, provide patient care, manage patient follow-up, and handle laboratory duties. Responsibilities include preparing patients for examination, collecting laboratory specimens, performing tests, and providing patient education.
Perform and document daily set up, stocking, maintenance of supply levels, and clean all clinical areas and equipment, including the washing and sterilization of instruments. Escort patients to examination rooms and prepare patients for examination and treatment. Collect and process/label laboratory specimen for testing and accurately complete lab requisitions. Perform CLIA waived testing, EKGs, injections/immunizations, and more, as directed by nursing and provider staff. Provide patient education as directed by provider, i.e., providing instructions for laboratory, radiology, and other medical testing/procedures. Retrieve laboratory and other test results and submit for review by provider as necessary. Report to all scheduled work sites and shifts on time and fully prepared to engage in all job responsibilities; location of work sites and shifts will change at the discretion of the supervisor. Travel to other locations as needed. Perform other duties as assigned.
