Provide compassionate personal care, mobility support, and health monitoring for clients in their own homes. Maintain a safe environment through light housekeeping, meal preparation, and emotional companionship.
Requires a high school diploma, completion of a state-approved Home Health Aide training program, and a valid driver's license. Candidates must be able to pass background checks and health screenings.
Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting to maintain hygiene and comfort.Support clients with mobility and transfers to prevent falls and promote physical activity within their capabilities.Monitor and report changes in clients’ health status or behavior to healthcare providers and family members promptly.Help with medication reminders and adherence according to prescribed schedules and care plans.Perform light housekeeping duties, meal preparation, and errands to create a safe and supportive home environment.Provide companionship and emotional support to reduce feelings of isolation and enhance mental well-being.Maintain accurate documentation of care provided and communicate effectively with the care team.
High school diploma or equivalent.Completion of a state-approved Home Health Aide training program.Certification as a Home Health Aide or equivalent credential as required by state regulations.Ability to pass background checks and health screenings.Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to travel within the Indy South area.
Previous experience in assisted living, long-term care, or home care settings.CPR and First Aid certification.Familiarity with electronic health records and documentation systems.Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.Additional training in specialized care areas such as dementia or chronic disease management.
