Provide direct bedside care and comfort to patients in a Med/Surg Stepdown unit under the supervision of an RN or LPN. Perform clerical tasks, maintain unit equipment, and document patient data within the electronic medical record system.
Must be a certified Nursing Assistant I and II with the Division of Facility Services and hold a BCLS certification. Completion of an approved Nurse Aide education program is required, with previous clinical experience preferred.

The Medical/Surgical Stepdown Unit at Duke Raleigh Campus is seeking passionate, driven nurses to join our high-performing 34-bed team. This is an exciting opportunity to care for a diverse and complex patient population, including individuals with sepsis, pneumonia, diabetes, sickle cell disease, and gastrointestinal conditions, as well as patients requiring step-down level care such as cardiac drips, post–cath lab recovery, and peritoneal dialysis. Our unit offers a unique, well-rounded clinical environment that also includes providing nurses with the chance to expand their skills and make a meaningful impact across multiple areas of care.

Completion of a Level I - Nurse Aide education program approved by the North Carolina Board of Nursing or successful completion of the NC - approved Nurse Aide I competency test.
