You'll work with advanced medical equipment, complex surgical cases, and highly skilled specialists while continuing to develop your technical expertise through mentorship, continuing education, and hands-on learning opportunities.

In your day-To-Day, you will

Deliver exceptional anesthesia support for specialty surgical procedures from patient preparation through recovery.

Review patient histories, laboratory results, and diagnostic imaging to develop safe anesthesia plans in collaboration with specialists.

Calculate, prepare, and administer anesthetic medications, IV fluids, CRIs, and emergency drugs.

Monitor anesthetic depth and patient homeostasis while proactively recognizing and responding to changes in patient status.

Perform anesthesia inductions, patient preparation, surgical nursing, and post-operative recovery.

Assess and manage patient comfort through pain scoring and implementation of analgesic protocols.

Complete post-operative diagnostics, treatment documentation, and patient care plans.

Educate clients on post-operative care, medication administration, nutrition, and hospital recommendations as directed by the specialist.

Maintain surgical suites, anesthesia equipment, and treatment areas to the highest standards of cleanliness and organization.

Mentor and train veterinary technicians and assistants while supporting ongoing team development.

Cross-train and assist other hospital departments as patient needs require.

Work closely with veterinarians, technicians, and support teams.

Contribute to a positive, team-focused hospital culture.

What you bring

Credentialed Veterinary Technician (CVT, RVT, or LVT required).

Minimum of two years of veterinary technician experience, preferably in anesthesia or specialty medicine.

Strong technical skills including IV catheter placement, venipuncture, anesthesia induction and monitoring, surgical nursing, radiography, and perioperative patient care.

Knowledge of anesthetic protocols, drug calculations, CPR, and emergency patient management.

Ability to accurately calculate medication dosages and work confidently with advanced medical equipment.

Excellent communication, organization, and critical thinking skills.

Ability to remain calm, compassionate, and detail-oriented in fast-paced and emotionally challenging situations.
