The primary responsibility involves triaging emergency room patients based on triage levels and providing immediate lifesaving care under the direction of the ER doctor for critical cases. Technicians must also assist doctors by providing history and vitals, executing treatment plans, performing diagnostics, and communicating plans to owners.
Candidates must have a minimum of one year of veterinary technician experience and be a Registered Veterinary Technician in Colorado or able to become registered upon hire, alongside a high school diploma or equivalent. Fluency in English is required for speaking and reading.
We are currently seeking an ER/ECC Veterinary Technician to join our team on a Per Diem basis!
The ER/ECC Technician’s primary responsibility is to triage patients as they present to the Emergency Room according to triage levels. Assess pets and provide immediate lifesaving care under the direction of the ER doctor as required for critical patients. Provides history, vitals, and concerns to doctors to assist in the timely and appropriate management of emergency patients. Works with float technicians and assistants to perform diagnostics, execute treatment plans and/or hospitalize the patient. Communicates medical updates, financial, and treatment plans to owners.
