The Registered Nurse utilizes the nursing process framework to provide professional nursing care, incorporating patient-family centered care principles to assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and manage patient discharge. The RN delivers quality patient care under the Nurse Leader's direction, adhering to policies, and partners with patients/families to incorporate their input into the plan of care and teaching strategies.
Candidates must possess an Associate's in Nursing, with a Bachelor's in Nursing required within five years, and hold a current Michigan Registered Nurse (RN) license and AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) certification upon hire. Graduates from non-accredited schools need specific acute care or licensed healthcare experience plus successful NCLEX passage.
