Job description
About the unit 3D is a 22-bed Med/Surgical unit at Blodgett Hospital specializing in the care of patients with complex medical diagnoses and serving as a Primary Stroke Center.
Teamwork is a defining strength of 3D, as staff collaborate to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.
While 3D is known for their expertise in stroke care and sickle cell management, we commonly care for acute respiratory illnesses, acute kidney injuries, diabetes management, septic shock, acute GI conditions, acute neurological conditions, and wound care.
Nurses are often drawn to 3D for the wide variety of skills utilized to care for a diverse group of patients and develop strong competencies in caring for both complex medical conditions and the occasional surgical patient.
3D Nurses are also trained in the NIH Stroke Scale competency.
