Monroe Community Mental Health Authority seeks a licensed master's-level clinician to provide crisis intervention and stabilization services in a behavioral health urgent care setting. The role focuses on individuals experiencing acute mental health crises who do not require emergency room care. This is a fixed daytime schedule supporting stabilization and safety planning.

Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive crisis assessments for individuals presenting to behavioral health urgent care
Provide de-escalation and supportive intervention for acute mental health crises
Develop safety plans and stabilization strategies in collaboration with clients
Assess medication-related concerns and coordinate with prescribers when necessary
Work with children, adolescents, and adults experiencing behavioral or psychiatric emergencies
Provide crisis support for individuals experiencing medication issues or behavioral challenges
Document all clinical interactions according to agency policy
Collaborate with team members and external providers
Maintain a calm, professional demeanor in high-stress situations
Adhere strictly to clinical policies and scope of practice
Required
Qualifications:
Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) or related field; Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or equivalent master’s-level licensure
Valid Michigan state licensure (full, limited, or provisional licenses accepted)
Ability to remain calm and compassionate with individuals in acute distress
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to assess risk and develop appropriate safety interventions
Commitment to ethical practice and policy compliance
Experience managing crisis situations with composure and professionalism
Availability to work fixed Monday–Friday schedule (11:00 AM–7:00 PM)
