Responsibilities Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment such as Hoyer lifts.
Monitor and record vital signs accurately, including blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature.
Support medication administration under supervision and ensure proper documentation in electronic health records (EHR) systems like Epic or Cerner.
Provide specialized care for patients with dementia or Alzheimer’s disease, including memory care techniques and behavioral health support.
Maintain aseptic techniques during procedures such as catheter care and wound management to prevent infection.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in diverse environments such as hospitals (including ICU, trauma centers, PICU), long-term care facilities, assisted living communities, hospice settings, and outpatient clinics.
Assist with medical procedures like phlebotomy or basic life support when required; operate medical equipment safely and effectively.
Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and uphold the highest standards of patient service and confidentiality.
Support patients with developmental disabilities or behavioral health needs by providing compassionate caregiving tailored to individual requirements.
Document patient information accurately in medical records and ensure seamless communication across care teams.
Experience Proven experience working as a Certified Nursing Assistant in settings such as hospitals (including Level I & II trauma centers), nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or home care environments.
Critical care experience in ICU or emergency medicine is highly valued.
