The GI Technician supports endoscopic procedures by preparing and maintaining equipment, assisting clinical staff, and ensuring patient comfort. They also help maintain a safe and clean environment throughout the procedures.
Candidates should have a minimum of one year of experience as an Endoscopy/GI Technician and a high school diploma or equivalent certification. Completion of Endoscopy Technician Training and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification are required.

The Endoscopy/GI Technician plays an essential role in supporting endoscopic procedures, focusing on equipment preparation, patient care, and assisting clinical staff. Working under the direction of nurses and gastroenterologists, the Endoscopy/GI Technician ensures that all necessary equipment is sterile, operational, and ready for use, and helps maintain a safe, clean environment for patients throughout their procedures.
