Provide comprehensive anesthesia care including preoperative assessments, intraoperative management, and postoperative pain control. Collaborate with surgical teams to monitor vital signs and respond to emergencies in a Level I trauma center.
Requires a Master's or Doctorate in Nursing from an accredited CRNA program and an active Pennsylvania APRN license. Candidates must be NBCRNA certified with BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications and at least one year of clinical experience.
Active Pennsylvania licensure Board certification AHA BLS, ACLS and PALS certifications Minimum 1-year CRNA experience or equivalent Job Responsibilities (Generalized): Provide anesthesia care to patients undergoing surgery, including preoperative assessment, intraoperative anesthesia management and postoperative pain management Collaborate with surgeons, surgical teams and other healthcare providers to ensure optimal patient outcomes Monitor patient vital signs and adjust anesthetic plans as needed Respond to emergencies and provide critical care interventions Maintain accurate and complete medical records Stay current on the latest advancements in anesthesia practice through continuing education Skills: Clinical expertise and technical proficiency in administering various anesthesia techniques Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with a surgical team Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to adapt to changing patient conditions Strong work ethic, stamina and ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment
Education: Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctorate in Nursing Practice (DNP) from an accredited CRNA program Licenses & Certifications: Active and unencumbered advanced practice registered nurse (APRN) license in Pennsylvania National certification as a CRNA by the National Board of Certification and Re-certification for Nurse Anesthetist (NBCRNA) Experience: While specific requirements may vary, most locum CRNA positions prefer candidates with at least one year of experience in a clinical anesthesia setting
Travel: If you reside greater than 50 miles from the facility you are eligible for travel benefits. You will have your travel and lodging arranged by our travel department and paid for in full. Please note that this position is offered as an independent contractor (1099) role and does not include the typical benefits associated with a W-2 employment, such as health insurance, retirement contributions, or paid time off.
