Certified Recovery Specialist | Bright Path Center

Your Role

• As a Certified Recovery Specialist, you will use your lived experience to provide non-clinical, peer-based recovery support in a crisis environment. You will help individuals experiencing substance use and behavioral health challenges feel safe, respected, and empowered.
• Provide peer-based recovery support and coaching using lived experience
• Engage individuals during substance use or behavioral health crises with empathy and encouragement
• Support individuals in all stages of recovery, including engagement, initiation, stabilization, and maintenance
• Assist individuals in recognizing relapse warning signs and developing coping strategies
• Connect individuals to treatment, MAT providers, peer supports, housing, and community resources
• Advocate for individuals’ needs, preferences, and recovery goals within the care team
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary staff to ensure continuity of care
• Provide or support peer-led recovery groups and engagement activities
• Transport individuals to appointments and recovery services as appropriate
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record
• Promote a trauma-informed, person-centered, and recovery-oriented environment
