The pharmacist provides clinical consultation, reviews and verifies medication orders, and ensures the accurate preparation and dispensing of medications. They collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to optimize patient outcomes and provide education to healthcare providers and patients.
Candidates must be a graduate of an ACPE-accredited College of Pharmacy and obtain a Virginia pharmacy license within 90 days of hire. A pharmacy practice residency or equivalent hospital experience is preferred.
Must possess good leadership, communication, interpersonal and teamwork skills. Must be able to effectively budget time, work efficiently and accurately, and follow procedures with minimum supervision. Excellent critical thinking and analytical skills. Work requires knowledge of general office equipment and procedures including computer and keyboarding skills.
