Conduct comprehensive preoperative evaluations to assess and medically optimize patients prior to surgery. Collaborate with anesthesiologists and surgeons to reduce surgical delays and ensure safe patient outcomes.
Requires a Master's degree in Nursing, current Nurse Practitioner licensure, and ACLS/BLS certifications. A minimum of one year of NP experience is required, with pre-anesthesia or acute care experience preferred.
The Nurse Practitioner (NP) – Pre-Anesthesia Testing is responsible for conducting comprehensive preoperative evaluations to assess, medically optimize, and prepare patients prior to surgery. This role collaborates closely with anesthesiologists, surgeons, and physicians specializing in perioperative and surgical care, as well as perioperative leadership, to support patient readiness, reduce day-of-surgery delays or cancellations, and promote safe, efficient, high-quality surgical outcomes.
Full-time; Monday - Friday
$49.10 - $81.02 base pay per hour based on experience
