The nurse assesses, plans, and implements care for ambulatory oncology patients, including the safe administration of chemotherapy and IV fluids. They also coordinate patient care and provide essential education to patients and their families regarding treatment regimens.
Candidates must have a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, an Illinois RN license, and at least 2 years of experience in the field. BLS certification is required, and chemotherapy infusion certification must be obtained within 6 months of hire.
