Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations and implement individualized, evidence-based treatment plans for residents in long-term care settings. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide holistic care and psychoeducation to clients and their families.
Requires a PhD or PsyD in Clinical, Counseling, or School Psychology from an APA-accredited program and a current New York State Psychologist License. Candidates should have 1-2 years of supervised clinical experience and the ability to work with diverse populations.
Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations, including diagnostic interviews and standardized testing (e.g., personality, IQ, behavioral) Develop and implement individualized treatment plans using evidence-based interventions (e.g., CBT, DBT, trauma-informed care) Provide psychotherapy to residents primarily in skilled nursing and long-term care settings, with opportunities for outpatient or community-based work if desired Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (psychiatrists, social workers, nurses, educators) to ensure holistic care Provide psychoeducation to clients and families, promoting mental health awareness and resilience Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential documentation in compliance with state and federal regulations Participate in team meetings, case conferences, and ongoing professional development
Doctoral degree in Clinical, Counseling, or School Psychology (PhD or PsyD) from an APA-accredited program Current New York State Psychologist License Minimum of 1–2 years of supervised clinical experience; postdoctoral experience preferred Demonstrated ability to work effectively with culturally and linguistically diverse populations Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
