• $18 - $22 / hr is based on skill set, and experience. About Us VCA Palm Beach Veterinary Specialists was established in West Palm Beach in 1998 and has flourished from a single-specialty practice into a full-service, multi-disciplinary, specialty-only practice. We reside within a 32,000 sq. ft. facility, operating 24/7/365, which includes an in-house national reference laboratory, blood bank, and Education Center with a 125-seat auditorium, conference room and meeting hall used to provide continuing education programs. Our Advanced Imaging department offers on-site MRI, CT, C-Arm and Linear Accelerator (Halcyon). Our staff of specialists includes three Surgeons, a Certified Canine Rehabilitation Practitioner, three Internists, an Emergency and Critical Care Service, Neurosurgeon, and Radiation Oncologist. Our doctors work closely with our nurses and technical staff to provide optimal patient care, careful client service and open dialogue with referring veterinarians. We are a very integrated practice that uses a team approach to case consultation and management. You will enjoy a diverse and stimulating caseload while employing the most advanced imaging and monitoring tools. West Palm Beach is located on the southeast coast of Florida, blessed with year-round pleasant weather and beautiful white sandy beaches. About the Role

As an experienced Veterinary Assistant, we want you to use your skills and knowledge to the fullest. Skills that you will be utilizing include, but are not limited to: Compassionate patient care Patient assessment and triage Client education and care Hospitalization/ICU care Anesthesia induction and monitoring Surgical preparation and assisting Radiology Laboratory sample collection and diagnostic testing Venipuncture, catheterization Pharmacy Medical record keeping We are seeking veterinary technicians with experience in emergency or specialty medicine, or several years of experience in general practice. Flexible schedule will include some weekends and holidays. Pay is competitive, based on level of skill, experience, relevant education and credentials.
