As an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) you would perform acts of medical diagnosis or prescription of medical therapeutic or corrective measures in collaboration with attending physicians and residents.
As an advanced practice nurse, this role involves independent judgment and decision-making as well as consultation and collaboration with other members of the health care team.
You would enhance the continuity of quality patient care; amplify communication between the physician, family members, and the health care team; and extend the capabilities of the medical care team.
This position will require travel between all MLH Hospitals and provide per diem coverage in our Hospitalist Medicine and ICU departments.

1. Two years Physician Assistant experience in an ICU setting is required. 2. A minimum of two years nursing experience in a critical care setting preferred.
1. Completion of a Physician Assistant program required.
1. Licensed by the Pennsylvania State Board of certification by the NCCPA (National Commission for Certification of Physician Assistants) 2. BLS certification required. 3. Current license to practice medicine in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania without restriction 4. Prescriptive Authority and Collaborative Agreement with the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing (CRNPs) OR Written Agreement with the Pennsylvania State Board of Medicine/Osteopathic Medicine (PA-Cs) 5. Registration with the DEA to prescribe, without restriction or limitation 6. Current ACLS certification Required 7. Completion of the MLH and MLHC credentialing processes resulting in temporary or permanent privileges issued and successful payor enrollment.
Requires completion of a Physician Assistant program and at least two years of PA experience in an ICU setting. Must hold a Pennsylvania state license, NCCPA certification, BLS, ACLS, and DEA registration.
