The RN provides direct nursing care to oncology patients and their families, including conducting clinical assessments and developing individualized care plans. They are also responsible for managing patient assignments, coordinating discharge plans, and supporting the professional growth of new staff.

The RN independently provides direct nursing care to patients and their families in accordance with established policies, procedures, and practices.
Location: Oncology Unit- Main Campus
Hours: 36 Hours- Evening/Nights (Weekend and Holidays Required)
Shift: Nights 7:00PM-7:00AM
The Community RN Career Direct Care Pathway placement is comprised of four levels based on a RN’s minimum experience, education, and qualifications.
Level I - 0 – Less than 12 Months of RN Experience.
Level II - 12 Months - Less than 3 Years of RN Experience.
Level III - 3 Years - Less than 8 Years of RN Experience.
Level IV - 8 Years of RN Experience.
1. Massachusetts RN Licensure.
2. 12 Months - Less than 3 Years of RN Experience.
3. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
Certification(s) relevant to the department and the type of patient care being provided may be required.
