In this role, you will perform echocardiogram studies to obtain important diagnostic information about patients’ cardiac health.
Responsibilities include evaluating blood flow, valve function, and chamber size to help determine the overall condition of the heart.
You will also assist physicians in the cardiac catheterization lab and operating room while supporting the delivery of high-quality patient care with a strong emphasis on accuracy, quality, and education.
00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. or 7:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. with rotating weekend, holiday, and on-call coverage requirements, including approximately one weekend per month and seven weeks of call coverage per year.
This position is primarily based at South Pointe but may require travel to other East Region locations, including Euclid Hospital, Hillcrest Hospital, and Marymount Hospital, as needed.
Perform diagnostic procedures to assess cardiac structures and hemodynamics in accordance with accepted protocols as directed by physicians.
Set up and adjust all equipment and manually maneuver transducers to perform exams.
Implement safety standards and perform appropriate quality control procedures.
Perform routine and complex studies and assist physicians in a variety of imaging procedures.
Recognize significant structures, artifacts, pathology, and equipment limitations.
• Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
