The Cytotechnologist performs laboratory procedures for accessioning and technical preparation of cytologic specimens from all body sites. They microscopically evaluate slides to identify abnormal cells and present findings to a Pathologist for final evaluation.
Candidates must be graduated from an accredited cytotechnology school and hold a certification approved by HHS, with ASCP preferred. One to three years of cytology experience is preferred.
