The License Professional Counselor (LPC) makes an impact by: Identifying psychological, emotional, or behavioral issues and disorders, using information obtained from interviews and assessments.
Developing and implement individual treatment plans, specifying type, frequency, intensity, and duration of therapy.
Discuss the treatment plan with clients, families/ guardians, and treatment team.
Utilizing professional counseling standards to provide counseling to individuals and groups regarding problems to modify behavior and/or to improve personal, social, and vocational adjustment.
Evaluating the effectiveness of counseling and treatment planning and modify as necessary.
Providing written document of counseling sessions, assessments, interventions, and recommendations to meet requirements for medical records documentation.
Ensuring accurate and consistent documentation of client contacts to ensure accurate billing to meet guidelines and regulatory requirements.
Maintaining on-going communication with program supervisors, program coordinators, program management, clients, and families in relation to client needs.
Participating in a team management approach to client care/treatment.
Maintaining accessible after-hours contact to assist with crisis.
Maintaining and update professional knowledge and proficiency through continuing education, staff meetings, and workshops.
Minimum Requirements: Must be a Licensed Professional Counselor.
