The Ultrasound Technician is responsible for performing diagnostic sonography examinations across various specialties and communicating results to physicians. They also manage daily department operations, including patient scheduling, equipment maintenance, and maintaining accurate imaging records.
Candidates must be graduates of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program with active ARDMS and CPR certifications. A minimum of one year of experience is required, with vascular certification needed within six months of hire.
Graduate of a formally accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program Active certification by American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) Current CPR Certification Vascular Certification or ability to obtain in 6 months of hire Complete 5 hours of CME specific to Breast Ultrasound within 30 days of hire or hold an active ARDMS Breast Registry 1+ years of experience in field Basic computer skills Knowledge of sonographic equipment Knowledge of sonographic procedures and diagnosis Flexible to work overtime and on call as needed Reliable transportation
