About the Role

The Licensed Counselor will provide professional mental health services to individuals, families, and groups, aiming to improve their emotional and psychological well-being.

This role involves conducting thorough assessments, developing personalized treatment plans, and delivering evidence-based therapeutic interventions.

The counselor will work collaboratively with clients to address a wide range of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship challenges.

Additionally, the counselor will maintain accurate documentation and comply with all ethical and legal standards governing counseling practices.

Ultimately, the goal is to empower clients to achieve greater self-awareness, resilience, and overall life satisfaction through compassionate and effective counseling.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Valid state licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or equivalent.
  • Master’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related mental health field from an accredited institution.
  • Demonstrated experience providing counseling services to diverse populations.
  • Strong knowledge of ethical standards and legal requirements in mental health counseling.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with specific populations such as children, veterans, or individuals with substance use disorders.
  • Bilingual abilities or experience working in multicultural settings.
  • Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and telehealth platforms.
  • Additional training or certification in crisis intervention or suicide prevention.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments to identify client needs and goals.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on clinical best practices.
  • Provide individual, group, and family counseling sessions using evidence-based therapeutic techniques.
  • Monitor client progress and adjust treatment approaches as necessary to ensure effective outcomes.

  • Stay current with developments in counseling methods and mental health research through ongoing professional development.

Requirements
