The Physician Assistant will conduct patient assessments and assist with procedures across Gastroenterology, ENT, and Orthopedic specialties. Responsibilities include managing follow-up care, formulating diagnoses, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams in outpatient and surgery center settings.
Candidates must be a graduate of an accredited PA program with NCCPA certification and an active Oregon PA license. A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in gastroenterology or a related specialty is required.
We are seeking an experienced Physician Assistant to support Gastroenterology, ENT, and Orthopedic service across outpatient clinics and ambulatory surgery centers at our Tigard (TMO) and Beaverton locations. This is a highly collaborative, well-supported role within a respected, physician-led group, offering strong compensation, procedural exposure, and long-term career stability. The PA will work closely with GI, ENT, and Orthopedic physicians and multidisciplinary teams to evaluate patients, assist with procedures, manage follow-up care, and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care. Key Responsibilities Patient Evaluation & Care: Conduct specialty-focused patient assessments, medical histories, physical exams, and initial work-ups across GI, ENT, and Orthopedic conditions. Formulate preliminary diagnoses and review findings with supervising physicians. Procedural Support: Assist with procedures including GI endoscopy (colonoscopies and upper endoscopies) and support care pathways related to ENT and Orthopedic services as assigned. Prepare patients, provide technical and clinical support, monitor patients, and complete pre- and post-procedure evaluations. Treatment Planning: Collaborate with physicians on treatment plans for a broad range of conditions, including GI disorders (IBD, IBS, GERD, liver disease), ENT concerns, and musculoskeletal/orthopedic conditions. Manage medications, order and interpret labs and imaging, and coordinate referrals. Outpatient Clinic Management: Independently manage routine follow-ups, monitor chronic conditions, adjust treatments per established protocols, and ensure timely access to care and counseling. Patient Education: Educate patients and families on diagnoses, procedure preparation (including colonoscopy prep), post-procedure care, rehabilitation or follow-up expectations, dietary guidance, and preventive strategies. Documentation & Compliance: Maintain accurate EMR documentation and ensure compliance with clinical guidelines, safety standards, infection control, and privacy regulations. Team Collaboration: Work closely with physicians, nurses, anesthesia teams, medical assistants, and ancillary staff. Participate in case discussions, team meetings, and quality improvement initiatives. Continuous Learning: Stay current with advancements across GI, ENT, and Orthopedics through CME, workshops, and specialty conferences.
