The Registered Polysomnographic Technologist provides comprehensive evaluation and treatment of sleep disorders through in-center and out-of-center testing. Responsibilities include performing sleep study procedures, scoring clinical events according to AASM standards, and providing direct patient education.
Candidates must have a High School Diploma or GED, with an Associate degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography preferred. Required certifications include RPSGT, SDS, or RST, along with Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
